Puff Pastry Cones with Hummus

Difficulty: Easy

Preparation time: 15 mins

For 15 pieces

 

 

Ingredients:

 

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry 
  • 2 tbsp olive oil 
  • 1 tsp paprika 
  • 200g hummus 
  • A few sprigs of curly parsley 
  • Baking paper 
  • Staples (or food-safe paper clips)   

 

Preparation:

 

  1. Cut circles from baking paper and shape them into cones, securing them with a staple. 
  2. Cut the pastry into 2 cm strips, lightly moisten them, and wrap them around the cones. 
  3. Brush with a mixture of olive oil and paprika, then bake at 200°C for about 13 minutes, until the pastry is nicely golden. Remove the cones and let them cool. 
  4. Using a piping bag, fill the pastry cones with hummus, then finish with a few sprigs of curly parsley. 

 

Chef’s tip: For a restaurant-style presentation, serve them on a platter with a few fresh herbs and finish with a light drizzle of olive oil just before serving.
